I've been learning how to join as you go, I might finally finish a granny square blanket now!

This is Lion Brand Mandala in Spirit, using an H hook with 5 round granny squares. My plan is to go as far diagonally as this ball will last, then buy another and finish it off. Then I'm going to add a border, possibly in white (unless anybody else has any good ideas!)

It's so satisfying because the squares don't take too long in themselves, so it really feels like I'm accomplishing something with each one!

That's why I started a granny square blanket, but I keep getting discouraged because maybe I picked the wrong granny square so it won't look as good as other people's blankets
