Man the reffing was terrible last night. Clearly it wouldn’t have really affected the outcome based on the way our boys played, but that missed interference and then trip on McD which led to an icing call was fucking atrocious, as well as the elbowing call on Looch.
2 minutes for being big and strong. At first I thought it was a charging penalty, I was at BP for dinner with family and was watching on their tvs, then when they showed the replay, his feet weren't moving and I was very confused.
Glad I didn’t watch!
Hoo boy I guess saying Dallas Eakins was a shit coach is worth a lynching in r/hockey today
You do know Dallas Eakins has come out and said that using "the swarm" was a mistake? He doesn't coach it anymore.
Okay and? He wasn’t just bad because of the swarm
No shit. You can tell which people hardly watched The Oilers when they blame his lack of success on the team. They were probably the same people who called Ference our only good defenseman and had their minds blown when they saw Petry play so well in Montreal for the first time.
I remember r/hockeys collective minds just exploding over how good Petry was in Montreal to their surprise, everyone's surprise but to Oilers fans.
i saw that. Can’t wait till the Ducks promote him and swarm themselves to last place.
The West is so bad. Can the boys just have fun out there and play a full 60 minutes with effort and care. This group mentality is so weak compared to 2016/2017 group. Don't even get me started on Drai checking out early in yesterday game too.
This is such an awful opinion that I don’t even know where to start.
Let’s bench and alienate a guy who is third in goals in the entire league and a top 10 scorer while we’re a team that has no forward depth.
This team has a ton of issues but the fact that an elite player who has been one of the few bright spots on the season is getting scapegoated for (very badly) missing his man on a backcheck is ridiculous.
This is a “go over while watching film and use it as a learning experience” thing.
This fanbase sucks
The amount of drai hate is one of the most mindboggling things ever. Dude can no right apparently Jesus Christ.
So I gotta ask... How are we as fans supposed to react when we see him play that way.. I'm asking very respectfully. It's not a stretch to say he was fairly responsible for two of those goals and he set a tone that was very easy and clear to see from the broadcast, so I'd imagine it would be even easier to see from the bench. I know he's a bonafide goal scorer and we need that, but if he's also responsible for such an atrocious lack of leadership, how should we take that? Does one excuse the other? Do we just ignore his dejected coast to line changes and literally giving up on skating to catch a centreman that ends up leaving our goalie out to dry? How does our goalie feel after seeing that one on the jumbo? It's so frustrating because I don't want to dislike him because he scores like a maniac but, in that game at least, he caused more goals against than he scored :/.
Our second best player played a bad game and we want to bench him for a couple games?? How the shit is that the proper response. Why should only he be accountable the team fucking blows and no one has been benched. Lucic, rieder everyone not named Mcdavid deserves to be benched over him. Come on
Well I didn't say bench him, I asked you how we SHOULD be reacting.. Don't over react to me like you don't like people over reacting to Drai lol. Say he does this again next game and leads to more goals against than for.. How do you handle a goal scorer you can't touch that plays that way?
Its crazy man. He's my fav player, i love his style of play. His backhand pass is next level and he can actually rip one timers. He looks lethargic which is why he gets hate. He missed his man last night on the Kane goal but mistakes are just part of the game. Hes average defensively and a stud offensively, and thats fine.
Maybe this has happened or needs to happen again but how the fuck hasn’t Hitch sat Drai down and be like are you fucking kidding me ? How can you be a top NHL player when you’re not skating hard on the back check and giving up easy goals cuz you’re lazy on defense ?
One of the most uninspired efforts I've seen this team make this season
4 points out of the wild card, 2 points out of last..
6 points out now...
Can we just get Kaapo Kakko for McDavid since Poolparty development been a fucking train wreck.
Let both of them play on his wings I bet magic would happen
The west is so bad this year it isn’t even funny

Didn’t expect to win that one, doesn’t mean it didn’t hurt to watch.
Did anybody else see Hitchcock’s autopsy in the postgame? That was pretty vicious
"Hitchcock thought he had a bead on the issues when he arrived, after all of his visits as an opposing coach. Now he is seeing it firsthand, and it’s like a visit to the sausage factory."
What does even mean? Ive never heard someone use a sausage factory in this way before and I cant stop thinking about it
You’ve eaten hot dogs but you’ve never seen how they’re made and it’s gross. That’s how I take it.
For real tho, I hate reading that dbag's articles.
